Gynaecological consultations

Comprehensive gynaecological consultation would incorporate several stages: the patient discusses various issues with her doctor, say, her state of health, case history, complaints etc., to be followed by a patient examination in a gynaecological chair, ultrasound examination, inspection of mammary glands and other analyses, if necessary.

The doctor advises on fertility issues and provides a prophylaxis and medical treatment of gynaecological diseases, assists with pregnancy planning and care, as well as consults on the most suitable choice of contraception.

Laparoscopic surgery

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgery to examine and treat a female’s internal organs. The doctor employs specific, narrow-diameter instruments, and an optical tool connected to a monitor. Laparoscopy is used to diagnose and treat endometriosis, uterine myomas, adhesions of the pelvis minor, ovarian cysts, oviduct disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome etc.

Hysteroresectoscopy

Hysteroresectoscopy may be applied to rid the uterine cavity of pathological growths – fibroids, polyps, adhesions in the uterine cavity, clots in the uterine lining that may increase the risk of uterine cancer. Hysteroresectoscopy is performed with intravenous anesthetic agents. If there are no ensuing complications, the patient may depart for home right away.

Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows a doctor to look inside the uterine cavity. The procedure is carried out with the help of a hysteroscope (a thin tube with a telescope on one end). The image of the uterine cavity is then transferred from the hysteroscope to the monitor. The purpose of the hysteroscopy procedure is to diagnose the reasons behind the female’s complaints (symptoms) associated with the uterine cavity. These symptoms could be heavy hemorrhage during menstrual periods, irregular menstrual periods, hemorrhage between menstrual periods, hemorrhage after intercourse, or upon arrival of menopause, etc.

Cervical electroexcitation

Electroexcitation is one of the methods for treating cervical premalignant changes. In the case of high-risk changes, it is a small operation when a small tissue fracture is cut out of the cervix with a cone or semicircular loop, where were found premalignant changes. This small surgery is most commonly done in the short-term intravenous anesthesia, in some cases it can be done in the local anesthetic. The main objective is to eliminate the changed cells and minimize exposure on healthy tissue.

Psychodynamic therapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy studies the causes of human emotional problems, subconscious motives and conflicts. The goal of therapy is to promote changes in a patient’s thinking and behavior by studying the patient’s childhood experiences, unconscious processes, and the nature of past and present relationships. Prolonged physical discomfort or a feeling of illness, distressing feelings, or prolonged stress may indicate problems in the emotional world. It is effective in treating a wide range of mental health symptoms, including depression, anxiety, panic and related physical ailments. Therapy helps to promote the reduction or disappearance of disturbing physical or emotional feelings and to promote the improvement of a person’s relationship with himself and others.
Remote consultations are also possible.

Remote consultations

Remote consultations are provided by video call or telephone call, which must be booked in advance by calling the contact number +371 266 855 80. The results of examinations, US and analyzes, if any, must be sent to the e-mail contacts before the consultation. If an examination or ultrasound examination is required, the doctor will make an additional on-site visit.

Ultrasound examinations

Ultrasonography is a painless, and harmless method of gynecological examination based on the ability of the ultrasound to bounce off of the tissues and organs with the echoes converted into a picture (sonogram). The ultrasonography is employed to examine the pelvis minor, ovaries, oviducts, uterus, cervix and adjacent organs of the pelvis minor. In case of pregnancy, the doctor examines the fetus, placenta, cervix and ovaries.
